Induction range or cooktop rebates in Vermont
2 programs pay toward an induction range or cooktop in Vermont right now, with 2 separate offers between them. The largest stated amount is $200, from Green Mountain Power induction cooktop rebate. These offers are tied to GMP and BED customers; the other Vermont utilities' own programs have not been read yet. No federal tax credit has ever covered this upgrade, so state and utility money is the whole picture.

Worked example: one Vermont home
Take one induction range replacing a gas stove. These are example inputs, not typical prices. Each program's own rule gives the amounts below; where one program has several tiers only the largest one counts, separate programs add up, and a percentage offer with no cost entered is shown at its ceiling.
| Utility | Not income-qualified | Moderate income | Low income |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green Mountain Power | $200 | $200 | $200 |
| Burlington Electric Department | $200 max | $200 max | $200 max |
For a household that is not income-qualified, the example comes to $200, made of $200 from GMP induction. None of the open offers has a separate income-qualified amount, so every household gets the same figure. All 2 listed utilities come out the same, because the money comes from a shared program.
Who can use these Vermont offers
Eligibility follows your electric or gas utility. GMP induction is open to GMP customers; BED induction is open to BED customers. Federal credit and state IRA rebates
There is no federal tax credit for induction ranges and cooktops; the energy credits that ended under Public Law 119-21 never covered them.
